A pair of tulip-shaped cups with baluster 4stems and circular feet, inscribed round the bottom edge, under-neath, The gift of Thomas Sergison, Esqr, one of the repre- I jsentatives in Parliament for the Burrough of Lewes, 1753. A Communion Cup of Silver. Height 5 inches ; diameter of bowl 3^inches, and of foot 3f inches ; weight 7-oz. 4-dwts.; hall marks jfor year 1664 ; makers mark P.M. between pellets and mullets I(see Jackson, p. 127). A plain bowl, slightly bell shaped, withsquare base; the stem is somewhat conical, and terminates in a 1fillet. It is inscribed, The Communion cup of S. Michaells inLewes, 1664. The Paten Cover is 4J inches in diameter and 1 inch in height; jweight 3-oz. 2-dwts.; hall marks are the same as the cup. A ,plain flat cover with a rim, plain and about half-an-inch inwidth; it is inscribed on the button foot, Bought by William .Thurgood and John Brinkhurst, Churchwardens. 1
