We are not to gather from these state-ments that the diagnosis of tracheobronchialtuberculosis can be made from the radio-graphic examination alone, for there is noth-ing characteristic about the enlargement ofthe glands resulting from infection with theKoch bacillus; but it is important to use amethod which will demonstrate the basis forphysical signs, and the lateral plate will dothis frequently when the standard positionsgive negative findings.
