The sciatic nerve in this region was of may have been caused by the post mortemoperator. 9. In the sheath of the large vessels, forabout 10 cm. upward, and for about twicethis distance downward, a slightly frothy,dark red, bloody fluid existed. From theappearance it might be judged that, duringlife, this material caused compression ofthe vessels.
