Letter from Epaphras Goodman, Dracutt, to Amos Augustus Phelps, Dec. 23rd 1837
Summary
In responding to Phelps’s inquiry, Epaphras Goodman provides the names of ministers in the Andover area and their membership to antislavery societies, but says he cannot give a definite answer to the question regarding their attitude to the principles of immediate emancipation. He then addresses Phelps’s question regarding his own views and sentiments on abolitionism.
