Utrechts-Psalter PSALM-134 Lyre and Cythara
Summary
Clipping from Utrecht Psalter, showing men holding a cythara (right), and a harp or cithara-lyre. The depictions of the cytharas in the Utrecht Psalter have been used as evidence in the 1911 Encyclopedia Britannica that the guitar was developed from modifying the cithara-lyre.
