Preparing for the worse case scenario, the 51st Medical Group personnel answer the call at a MAJOR ACCIDENT RESPONSE EXERCISE (MARE) prior to Air Power Day and the arrival of the Air Force Thunderbirds at Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea. The MARE drills are held quarterly and keep base personnel ready to respond to such emergencies as air crashes, ammunition accidents and fuel spills. This particular drill coincides with the upcoming Air Show where an expected 50,000 people may attend
