Also published in Engineer in Charge: A History of the Langley Aeronautical Laboratory, 1917-1958 by James R. Hansen (page 77). The tank for the Variable-Density Tunnel arrived at Langley by railway from its Manufacturer, the Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Company, Newport News. Va., on February 3, 1922.
