ROLLING STOCK A number of types of cars are in serviceupon different parts of the line, resulting fromthe absorption of independent lines and localrequirements upon the several sections of the Three of tbese cars have Westinghouse magnetic tractionbrakes, and the remainder Christensen air brakes in additionto the usual hand brake. These cars were originally dividedinto two compartments, the forward end being reserved forsmokers. The partition, however, has been removed andsmoking prohibited, with a view to preserving a clean interior,which was found to be impossible with the former arrange-ment.
