Like theblue-grass region of Kentucky, it has no sick horses, cattle, swine or poultry.Everybody and everything keeps well. In production, it brings the largest average and the best quality of wheatof any country, whether in Europe or America. Wichita county is 400 miles from an ocean market, while Chicago is1,000. Wichita county is 600 miles from Denver (the best market for fruitand vegetables on the continent); Chicago is 1,100 miles from Denver. With Denver at one end and Ft. Worth at the other, the man who set-tles on the Texas Panhandle Route gets on one of the great railroads ofthe country. Think on these things.
