Significance: The Seddon Island Scherzer Rolling Lift Bridge is the oldest, longest-span Scherzer rolling lift bridge in Florida. It is a well-preserved example of a popular type of patented movable bridge, fabricated and erected by the nationally significant Phoenix Bridge Company.
