Patrick Hall, commander of Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 9, performs a pre-flight check on an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter assigned to the Black Knights of Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron (HSC) 4 aboard the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). Ronald Reagan is en route to Hawaii for Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2014. Twenty-two nations, more than 40 ships and submarines, more than 200 aircraft and 25,000 personnel are participating in the biennial RIMPAC exercise from June 26 to Aug. 1.
