Original caption: MANNED SPACECRAFT CENTER, HOUSTON, TEXAS. APOLLO 14 LRL ACTIVITY - Leonard E. (Ed) Cornitius, a lab technician for Brown & Rott/Northrop, prepares Sample No. 14321 to be photographed during "mug shot" series of lunar samples collected on the Apollo 14 lunar landing mission. The sample has been nicknamed "Big Bertha" and is the largest rock ever to be returned from an Apollo lunar landing mission.
