Odriozola recently reported a case showing shortly before death intervals of from50 to 58 seconds between the heart beats (practically one to the minute). Partial block. Completeblock. Luetic anddegenerative. 566 MEDICAL DIAGNOSIS Acute Infections.—The heart block so frequently present in the acuteinfections though occasionally complete is usually partial and apparentlytransient, being indicated by a mere increase of the a-c or P-R interval,detected by the polygraph or electrocardiograph.
