ATLANTIC OCEAN (Oct. 14, 2018) Machinist's Mate Fireman Leslie Hernandez collects a sample of JP-5 jet fuel while underway aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Fort McHenry (LSD 43) as part of the Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 4 composite training unit exercise (COMPTUEX). COMPTUEX is the final pre-deployment exercise that certifies the combined Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit™s (MEU) abilities to conduct military operations at sea and project power ashore through joint planning and execution of challenging and realistic training scenarios.
