Dr. (CAPT.) Sebastian F. Cherian and AIRMAN 1ST Class Robert D. Gomez with the 49th Medical Group, Holloman Air Force Base, N.M. works on the Guyanese man's badly cut finger. The 49th Medical Group deployed 35 personnel in support of New Horizon '97, the first combined humanitarian and civic assistance exercise conducted between the United States and Guyana. Military personnel from Air Force, Air Force Reserve & National Guard, Army, Army National Guard and Marine Corps participated in the exercise which included engineering and medical readiness training
