Summary

This image of the construction of Husky Stadium on the University of Washington campus in Seattle was taken on November 6, 1920. Husky Stadium was originally built with a seating capacity of 30,000 to replace Denny Field on the north end of upper campus. The outdoor football stadium has undergone several expansions and renovations, most recently in 2013.

Construction was managed by Puget Sound Bridge and Dredging Company, a major contributor to the construction of the Pacific Northwest. Many of their projects were documented by noted Seattle photographer Asahel Curtis.
