Girl of seven; left hip; no difficulty;six months. 8. Girl of five and one-half; left hip;reduced by Dr. F. H. Brandt with con-siderable difficulty. It was necessary tostretch the anterior capsule. Boy of eight; left hip; easily re-duced; cast to remain six months on ac-count of advanced age. 11. Girl of six and one-half; left hip; reduced with great difficulty. The femurbroke two inches from the great trochan-ter. The head was brot near, but not into,the acetabulum and the leg was fixed ina downward position, with traction; toremain three months for healing of thefracture, after which complete reductioncan easily be effected.
