CELEBRATING INDEPENDENCE DAY Floras grandmother, who had come tovisit them and see the parade. Best ofall they had seats on the same stand,close to Betty. Soon they were all seat-ed comfortably, and Betty and Florawere smiling back and forth. Then therecame a faint strain ot gay music, growinglouded and closer every minute. Thenthe flags and soldiers and wonderfulfloats and splendid bands came sweepingdown the street. The people cheered and clapped theirhands joyfully at the brave sight.
