Staminate plant bearing a single terminal cone 9 cm. in diameter. The great reduction of the sporophylls leaves it physiologically impossible for the conical axis to serve as an integral extension of the stem after the iraturity of spores as in ovulate forms of Cycas, limited growth of the axes of fructification being correlated with sporophyll reduction,
