ictures. On Nov. 19th, or atabout eight and a half months pregnancy,a normal child was delivered. Pelviclavage was continued for eleven weeks,the patient continually improving duringthis time. Seven pyelograms were made atabout two-week intervals, these showinga gradual return of the pelvis and ureterstoward normal. The right pelvis and ureter,however, have been too much damagedever to show a normal pyelogram, thoughthe urine and function show nothingabnormal. In this particular type ofcase, future pyelograms may present be-wildering evidence, unless the roentgenolo-gist goes carefully into the past history. Case II. Mrs. J. M. C. Age 25 years.Past history negative. Two healthychildren, one miscarriage. Wassermannnegative. The last menstruation was fromJune 26 to July 1, 1919. With normalurine until Feb. 23, 1920. At this timeshe was suffering with nausea, vomiting,pain in the back and over the right kidney.Catheterized urine showed pus, and colonbacilli from both sides. Pelvic lavage

Case II. I-ii,. ■;, eight months pregnant. five irrigations which extended over aperiod of fifteen days, a pyelogram wasmade. This showed marked dilatation ofthe right pelvis, calyces, and ureter, bothureters being rather tortuous, but no Fig. (>, after delivery. majority of the symptoms, pyelogram showed marked right pelvis, calyces, and moderate dilatation on the left side. Ten days before the calculated relieved thethough thedilatation olureter, with Pyelitis of Pregnane) 355 date of delivery, she again had some nauseawhich was relieved by pelvic lavage. Thecomputed time was so near that labor wasinduced and a healthy child delivered.Two weeks after delivery, pelvic lavagewas again followed by progressive im-provement in all symptoms. On July 8,a catheterized specimen showed no pusnor casts. The size of the kidney pelvesgradually became smaller; but the rightside in this case, in spite of a normal Case IV. Mrs. R. T. A.
