US Navy Captain Kolin M. Jan, Commander Carrier Air Wing Seven (CVW-7), rejoices with his wife and daughter, as elements of the air wing return to Naval Air Station Oceana, Virginia, after a six month deployment on board the nuclear powered aircraft carrier USS GEORGE WASHINGTON (CVN 73). CVW-7 embarked on board George Washington completed a regularly scheduled deployment to the Mediterranean, which included operations in the Adriatic Sea and Persian Gulf. This fall the squadron will begin training on the F/A-18C Hornet aircrafts, and after completing their transition they will rejoin the fleet as Strike Fighter Squadron Three Four (VFA-34)
