Atlantic Ocean (Mar. 10, 2006) An F/A-18C Hornet assigned to the "Golden Warriors" of Strike Fighter Squadron Eight Seven (VFA-87) launches from the flight deck of USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71). VFA-87 is departing the ship and returning to their homeport of Naval Air Station Oceana. Roosevelt and Carrier Air Wing Eight are returning from a deployment in support of maritime security operations and the global war on terrorism.
