Black and white, 1/9 plate ambrotype portrait of a young woman. Subject is a young Caucasian female with body turned slightly right and head turned front. Subject has darker hair parted in the middle and pulled along the sides of her cheeks and gathered in back. Subject wears a darker-colored bodice with white lace collar and necklace with large round pendant at throat. . Subject's cheeks are slightly colored.
