3,481 GRT steamship RMS Quetta in the Suez Canal. Built in 1881 for the British India SN Co. On 18 February, 1890 she left Brisbane bound for London. She was wrecked near Thursday Island in the Torres Strait on 28 February 1890. Of 291 people aboard, 133 were killed. (From description supplied with photograph.)
