Summary
Quadrangle at Tattersalls filled with groups of betting men including Mr. Tanfield, Lord Sefton, Col. Hylton Jolliffe, Sir L. Skeffington, and John Gully, the ex-pugilist. A Jewish man sells wares from a basket. Over the doorway is a sign, "Horses must not be taken away without being paid for."
