Letter from Elizur Wright, New York, to Amos Augustus Phelps, 1837 July 8

Elizur Wright Jr. writes to Amos A. Phelps regarding anti-slavery publications and money matters. He writes about "the apology" and says, "I was honest & well meaning about it. I think I was as careful of your character as I should have been of my own. I do think the recommendation of Finney needed an apology. In this I do not give up my "free agency" or narrow it."
