June 17, 1999: In order to see the lighthouse move, traffic cones were placed in front of it. The lighthouse was moved 10-1/2 feet on this first day.

June 19, 1999: At the end of this day, the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse had been moved 101 feet and left behind a lot of cribbing.
