War Production Board has allotted materials to FEA for the production of 30,000, the design of which has been carefully screened to reduce to a minimum the use of critical materials, including lumber. Procurement of the buildings will be undertaken by the Federal Public Housing Authority of the National Housing Agency. Bids for the construction of these units were to be in by March 5, 1945
