Summary

With three heavy-lift airships serving as a backdrop, family, friends and members of the Air Force community gathered together to celebrate the retirement of U. S. Air Force Col. Earl S. Scott, 60th Maintenance Group, commander, at hangar P-14, Travis AFB, California, June 23, 2017. Col. William Waynick, director J-6, Joint Special Operations, Fort Bragg, NC, was the presiding officer during the ceremony and presented the certificate of retirement. Recognition of members who are retiring from a career of long, faithful, and honorable service is one of the oldest traditions of military service. Each retiree should leave the service with a tangible expression of appreciation for his/her contribution to the Air Force, and with the assurance that they will continue to be a member of the Air Force family in retirement. Scott entered active duty in 1991 following graduation from the United States Air Force Academy where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree. He led 2,200+ active, civilian, and reserve personnel supporting organizational and field-level maintenance for 18 C-5, 13 C-17, and 27 KC-10 at Air Mobility Command's largest wing.(U.S. Air Force photo/ Heide Couch)
