Williamsburg, Virginia. The capitol of the Virginia colony during the eighteenth century which was reconstructed and restored to its original state by John D. Rockefeller, Jr. during the 1930s. Governor's palace was ordered built in 1705 and was occupied by seven royal governors and two governors of the commonwealth. To the left is the west flank house, possibly used as a guard house. Center building to the right is the governor's office
