'Walk of Coast Guard History' ceremony
Summary
GRAND HAVEN, Mich. - U.S. Coast Guard Commandant Adm. Robert J. Papp, Jr. addresses the crowd in front of Grand Haven City Hall as a keynote speaker during the "Walk of Coast Guard History" ceremony August 6. Highlighting the ceremony were unveilings of two plaques: one commemorating the contributions of local rotarian Edward Kinkema to the formation of the Coast Guard Festival in 1937, and the other to the successful navigation of the Northwest Passage to the Arctic Circle by the crews of U.S. Coast Guard Cutters Bramble, Spar and Storis in September 1957.
