Valley Elderberry Longhorned Beetle female (6056660066)
Summary
The Valley Elderberry Longhorn beetle was listed in 1980 as a threatened species under the Endangered Species Act. It is found only in California’s Central Valley, where it depends on a single species for food and shelter, blue elderberry bushes that grow along Central Valley watercourses.
