Summary
The U.S. Navy escort carrier USS Wake Island (CVE-65) underway near Guam on 24 June 1945. Three Grumman FM-2 Wildcat fighters of Observation Fighter Squadron 1 (VOC-1) are visible on deck. Wake Island would arrive at Guam later that day, transferring all sixteen aircraft of VOC-1 to Naval Air Base Agana. Wake Island is painted in Camouflage Measure 22.
