USS Blue Ridge Sailors participate in cleanup campaign in Korea

Chinhae, South Korea (Aug. 24, 2002) Sailors assigned to the amphibious command ship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19) volunteer with local Korean nationals in an Environmental Cleaning Campaign. Blue Ridge Sailors participated as part of a community relations (COMREL) project conducted during Exercise Ulchi Focus Lens (UFL) 2002. Ulchi Focus Lens is a computer modeling and simulation command post exercise designed to test, evaluate, and improve combined and joint communications, coordination, procedures, plans, and systems needed to conduct contingency operations by the Republic of Korea and the United States.
