Summary

SAN DIEGO - June 13, 2005 - Mr. William Peterson steps off of a U.S. Navy Jayhawk helicopter after being flown more than 200 miles to San Diego from the USS Chung-Hoon. Peterson's 40-foot sailboat, Camerra, demasted more than 800 miles off the coast of California. RCC Alameda coordinated the search and recovery of Peterson using AMVER merchant vessels, a USCG Air Station Sacramento C-130 and the Pearl Harbor, HI-based USS Chung-Hoon.
