Summary
U.S. Navy Lt. Kevan Lim, left, reassures a simulated victim during a mass casualty evacuation training scenario in Gwangyang, Republic of Korea March 6. The training is part of Exercise Freedom Banner 2014. U.S. Marines assisted in the training exercise by simulating victims with various injuries during the training scenario. Lim is the chaplain for Combat Logistics Regiment 35, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force. The corpsman and Marines are with the same unit. Freedom Banner projects U.S. military power and exercises maritime preposition force ship offloading capabilities similar to what would occur during a wartime or disaster relief scenario. Furthermore, it provides an opportunity for Marines to strengthen relationships between the Republic of Korea and U.S.
