YOKOSUKA, Japan (Jan. 16, 2019) U.S. Fleet Activities (FLEACT) Yokosuka port operations' pusher boats move a caisson in preparation for dry-docking of Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force's service yacht JS Hashidate (ASY 91). U.S. Forces, Japan and Government of Japan have jointly use dry docks onboard FLEACT Yokosuka since 1974. FLEACT Yokosuka provides, maintains, and operates base facilities and services in support of the 7th Fleet's forward-deployed naval forces, 71 tenant commands, and 27,000 military and civilian personnel.
