Summary
U.S. Army Sgt. Terry Werner, an infantryman assigned to the 1st Battalion, 109th Infantry Regiment, Pennsylvania Army National Guard, helps a Lithuanian boy put on an advanced combat helmet (ACH) during a static display in Vilnius, Lithuania, June 10, 2018. The static display was part of a ceremony recognizing Pennsylvania and Lithuania’s 25th year participating in the state partnership program. These activities took place during Saber Strike, which is a multinational exercise scheduled to run from June 3-15 that tests NATO’s enhanced forward presence (eFP) battle groups located in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland. The exercise is also part of NATO’s goals to demonstrate the Alliance’s interoperability and help each participating country maintain the readiness of its forces. (U.S. Army photo by Spc.
