U.S. Army Sgt. Erik Schroeder receives a letter of appreciation from Ambassador Geeta Pasi, U.S. ambassador to Djibouti, during a presentation ceremony at the United States Embassy, Djibouti, Nov. 3. Schroeder, along with 16 other service members from Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, earned recognition from the ambassador for volunteering at least 60 hours for the embassy-sponsored English Discussion Group. Service members can participate in EDG five nights a week at six different schools, where they converse with students, ranging from elementary to university-level, in English to help enhance their language skills.
