U.S. Army paratroopers from 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade, and soldiers from the Spanish Armed Forces Airborne Brigade (BRIPAC), provide water to the field kitchen at Cadena Barracks, Chinchilla Training Area in Spain, Feb. 26, 2016, during the Exercise Sky Soldier 16. The objective of training Exercise Sky Soldier 16 is to prepare the brigade’s 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment for future exercises with increase unit lethality, improve tactical airborne proficiency, and build a foundation for future allied training with the Spanish army. The 173rd Airborne Brigade is the U.S. Army’s Contingency Response Force in Europe, providing rapidly deploying forces to the U.S. Army Europe, Africa and Central Command Areas of Responsibility within 18 hours.
