Spitler, USARCENT chief of staff, is accompanied by the oldest soldier, Col. Jonathan Gibbs, USARCENT command chaplain, and the youngest soldier, Spc. Galizzie M. Stephan Frennier, senior enlisted leader, USARCENT, participated from the Middle East. USARCENT perpetuates the lineage and honors of Third Army which was first activated at Chaumont, France, Nov. 7, 1918.
