U.S. Army Band "Pershing's Own" Drum Major Master Sgt. Scott Little presses his dress uniform at Fort Myer, Va., Jan. 17, in preparation for the upcoming 57th Presidential Inauguration. This will be the first time in Little's 20-year career that he will be leading the band through the streets of Washington during the Inaugural parade. Military involvement in the Presidential Inauguration dates back to April 30, 1789, when members of the U.S. Army, local militia units and Revolutionary War veterans escorted George Washington to his first Inauguration ceremony.
