Summary
U.S. Air Force Capt. Scott Grotbo serves as the 182nd Air Support Operations Group assistant director of operations at the 182nd Airlift Wing, Peoria, Ill. On March 29, 2013, Capt. Grotbo ran in the worldwide TACP Association 24 Hour Run Challenge to raise funds in support of the Tactical Air Control Party specialist community and families, and to honor TACPs who have fallen in combat, such as Staff Sgt. Jacob Frazier who was killed in action in Geresk, Afghanistan, exactly 10 years before. Staff Sgt. Frazier's convoy was ambushed March 29, 2003, while en route to provide support to Capt. Grotbo's team during a multi-day firefight. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Lealan Buehrer/Released)
