description

Summary

U.S. Air Force Airmen and delegates from over 24 African partner nations visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial in Kigali, Rwanda on May 22, 2019. There were 115 participants at the African Partner Outbreak Response Alliance (APORA) conference and many got the opportunity to visit the memorial. During APORA, military and civilian leaders worked together to align best practices and improve response capabilities for potential outbreaks of contagious diseases. The training bolstered relationships with current partners and mobilize new partners to strengthen pandemic prevention programs. (U.S. Air Force photo by Master Sgt. Andy M. Kin)
