U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Jace McCarthy, 380th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron pavement and construction equipment apprentice, a native of Omaha, Neb., deployed from Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska, removes excess concrete from a freshly paved pad at an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia.
