Pacific Ocean (Feb. 13, 2005) Two spouses of U.S. Navy Sailors assigned to Carrier Strike Group Five (CSG-5), watch as an EA-6B Prowler, assigned to the "Gauntlets" of Electronic Attack Squadron One Three Six (VAQ-136), launches from the flight deck during a one-day tour aboard USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63). Tours of Kitty Hawk are conducted to raise awareness of 7th Fleet missions and the importance of forward-deployed naval forces. Kitty Hawk demonstrates power projection and sea control as the U.S. Navy's only forward-deployed aircraft carrier, operating from Yokosuka, Japan.
