William Chaffers was not a photographer, but rather an English writer and antiquarian. He is best known for his works on ceramics, glass, and other decorative arts. Some of his notable works include "Marks and Monograms on Pottery and Porcelain," "Hall Marks on Gold and Silver Plate," and "The Keramic Gallery." Chaffers was also a collector of antiques and owned a significant collection of ceramics and glassware.
