USNS Gordon is the first United States Navy (USN) Large, Medium-Speed Roll-on/Roll-off Ships, or LMSR, cargo vessel. USNS Gordon is a former commercial tanker and underwent conversion to United States Navy Military Sealift Command specifications to make it ideal for the loading, transport and unloading of United States Army and United States Marine Corps combat equipment.
