Thesetables have been extracted from a report of this bureau for theyear 1903 and give briefly both the earnings and operating statisticsof the several traction companies in Buenos Aires operating bothelectric and horse traction. In making comparisons of the earnings of the different com- meet the requirements of a large brewery in bringing its productsto Buenos Aires. The brewery company considered it would beadvantageous to build its own means of transportation for the rea-son that it could handle its products much cheaper than by forward-ing them over the steam railroads on account of the high transpor-tation charges.
