Summary
Satire on fashion: a French hairdresser mounts a ladder to arrange with tongs the curls of a lady with an enormous coiffure, while another man wearing an indoor cap, evidently her husband, looks on holding a telescope; a plate from 'The Oxford Magazine' for 1771 facing p.129 where a similar scene is described.
